Singapore gives us so much to be proud of, and at Her World, we celebrate that. I’m constantly bowled over by the abundance of incredible women in this country – we are never short of individuals to interview for our monthly Women Now feature.

Our home-grown thespian, Oon Shu An, is also an inspiration to women. Besides her acting career, which has spanned local television and theatre as well as Hollywood via Netfl ix, she’s also passionately introspective and candid about her triumphs and struggles. On page 42, Shu An tells us openly about her grief and depression and how therapy has benefi ted her.
Not forgetting the women on pages 104-111 who are making real diff erences every day in their jobs, whether they’re giving women prisoners hope, educating kids in remote villages or rescuing cats. How can we not be inspired by these amazing people right on our sunny shores?
