The annual Her World Beauty Awards celebrated its 16th year with the best products, exciting performances and a whole lot of laughter.
The beauty industry is always improving, and new products with better formulations and more convenient packaging are constantly being launched in the market so that we get the most effective solutions in the easiest ways possible. This year, we narrowed down the close to 500 nominees to 168 of the best ones – ranging from skincare products to cosmetics, body-care items and fragrances.
On February 28, industry insiders were invited to our 16th Her World Beauty Awards event at the luxurious VLV Club Lounge, nestled in the heart of Clarke Quay, to enjoy an afternoon of canapes, drinks and performances by the cast of Tropicana The Musical. Guests were entertained by a medley of exciting and heartfelt songs from the musical, sung by Lim Yu-Beng, Audrey Luo, Ebi Shankara and Seong Hui Xuan. But, of course, we were all gathered there to celebrate the winning beauty products.
For this year’s awards, we roped in a panel of judges – a few of our editorial team members, as well as external experts such as doctors, beauty bloggers and makeup artists – to test a myriad of beauty products launched between October 2015 and September 2016, so as to determine the winners for the Editors’ Choice awards. We also received more than 1,200 online votes from readers, who had a say in selecting the winners for the Readers’ Choice awards.
