There are many things that can affect vaginal health. For starters, hot and humid weather may cause excessive sweating, upsetting the vaginal pH balance. On top of that, the area is very delicate and can be sensitive to harsh chemicals, requiring gentle formulations to keep clean.

That’s why Atsuko Morita created her own feminine care brand, Intime Organique, whose products boast paraben-, silicone-, artificial colourant- and fragrance-free formulas. Its lineup is led by Intimate Feminine Wash, which has rosemary as a key ingredient. Rosemary is said to act as a gentle disinfectant that balances sebum secretion in the area.

Also present in the formula is lavender, which is believed to improve blood circulation and help in detoxifying the skin. While normal soap bars are typically too alkaline for use in the area, Intimate Feminine Wash is designed to maintain an optimal vaginal pH of 4.5.

There’s also Intimate Whitening Cream, which is intended to brighten the skin in the area with continued use and is excellent as a post-shave treatment to calm razor burn. A vaginal lubricant, a massage oil, a firming cream for the breasts, and a moisturising cream for the hips and legs that has ginkgo biloba and white willow extract (this has salicylic acid) to gently exfoliate, make up the rest of the brand’s six-product lineup. Intime Organique is certified organic by the Istituto Certificazione Etica e Ambientale (ICEA), a consortium in Europe that controls and certifles companies that carry out activities in respect of people and nature.
