THE LOEWE BALLOON BAG IS NOW BIGGER, BETTER AND BUILT FOR THE BOYS.

Throughout his Loewe tenure, Jonathan Anderson and his team of artisans have demonstrated a knack for making craft wizardry look deceptively simple and for dreaming up bag shapes that look like nothing else out there: the graphic, geometric Puzzle; the supple, trapezoidal Hammock; the whimsical Elephant. Then there’s the Balloon—Anderson’s clever, curvaceous take on the bucket bag. Inspired by a hot-air balloon, it is composed of a structured base cradling a squishy internal sac that has been crafted without a single visible seam. For fall/winter 2020, Anderson added backpack straps to the Balloon, allowing it to be strapped to the back, worn on the shoulder, slung across the body or carried by its handle—a brilliant fusion of form and function. We can but gasp, and head straight to Casa Loewe to nab this blown-up beauty for ourselves.

The Loewe Balloon backpack is $5,100 and is available at Loewe, #01-11/12 Paragon (tel: 6235 4489).
