The newest GG Marmont proves that the tiny bag trend isn't going anywhere soon.

The newest GG Marmont proves that the tiny bag trend isn't going anywhere soon.

In the world of It bag status, Gucci reigns high with its more-is-more aesthetic—bells, whistles and a bow or five take centrestage together with gilt hardware and a smattering of rhinestones. With the GG Marmont bag, however, Creative Director Alessandro Michele proves that he is able to withhold the magpie in him. Since its launch, the bag has stood as an exercise in sophisticated restraint, with its chevron quilting, gold hardware and more significantly, the brand’s double-G monogram. Today, it’s clear that the emblem has taken over the fashion flock’s wardrobes, establishing itself firmly on our logo-obsessed generation’s must-have list. For pre-fall 2019, the GG Marmont is introduced in Double G torchon hardware in azalea leather accented with contrast piping. It also features a new style: The bucket bag 2.0, a mini version spacious enough to fit a phone and a few daily essentials. Big on style and small in size, it shows that sometimes the best things in life come in the tiniest packages.

The GG Marmont bucket bag 2.0 is $1,520 and available at Gucci,#B1-109, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (Tel: 6688 7878).
