Keira Knightley is one of 10 famous faces that Chanel has engaged for its new J12 campaign.

Are you ready? Okay, if you had time to do one thing again in life…

Yeah, really easy! I would get married again because we had a great wedding and it was really fun.

A second in time saves…

A major tantrum from happening because my daughter needs routine and so everything is by the second.

My favourite time with Chanel has been…

Oh, I’ve had so many! Umm, actually a recent trip to Shanghai [for the Chanel “Mademoiselle Privé” exhibition in April] was totally brilliant. We had a blast; it was really good fun. What did you like most about Shanghai? I had 48 hours in Shanghai and it was so wonderful to go somewhere that was so far away from where I live. It’s a 12-hour flight from London and it’s obviously different from London; and to be sort of immersed in a completely different place and different culture for 48 hours is like a dream.

Time waits for no man but...

Oh God! Time waits for no man and time certainly does not wait for Keira either, unfortunately [laughs].

The best time of my life…

Is when I am dancing and I have all of my friends around me and it is sort of very, very late at night and I don’t care what time it is and I just want to keep dancing.

It’s only a matter of time before…

I get back in a car and learn how to drive again. I did it when I was 22 and then I literally haven’t driven since—and I have to. We have a Tesla, so I can drive without feeling guilty about ruining the environment. It would be very handy, so that’s my plan.

What stands the test of time?

An amazing J12 watch, which is as good today as it was in 2000 when it first came out.

Did you wear the watch when it first came out?

No, but I bought the black version for my brother for his 30th birthday and he is now 40. So, that was 10 years ago and he’s still wearing it.

Fantastic! And now for the last statement: Time heals all wounds but…

But it really sucks when it doesn’t [laughs].
