LAVENDER DREAMS
A combination of warm and cool undertones, purple-based hues are surprisingly flattering and easy to pull off. For starters, look for a lilac-tinted makeup base like Make up For Ever’s Radiant Primer Mauve, $70, to counter sallowness and boost luminosity. next, complete the tonal look with a sweep of Diorshow Mono in 994 Power, a satiny amethyst shade that makes your eyes sparkle, and Sephora’s Sweet Balm in Violet, $7, for a sheer veil of colour.
PASTEL PARADE
Dress your tips with a melange of hues for a dreamy take on nail art. Begin with one coat of nude polish on nails. next, apply varying shades of nail lacquer randomly and blur out the edges with a makeup sponge for a painterly effect. Finish with a glossy top coat to seal in shine.
RAINBOW CONNECTION
Create an eye-catching look using a palette of pastels by experimenting with different colours in varying textures. use a nude, matte eyeshadow from the lash lines to the crease and layer on shimmery shades at the centre of the lids to make eyes pop. Lastly, dab a pearlescent shadow like Clinique’s Chubby Stick Shadow Tint in Grandest Gold, $29, at the inner corners for brighter-looking eyes.
AT FIRST BLUSH
First popularised in Korea, the ombre lip look is now popular all over the world. use it as a way to soften an opaque and matte lip colour like ySL Beauty’s Tattouage Couture in no. 20 Pink Squad. Start by applying lip colour at the centre of the lips and a flesh-toned concealer on the outline of your lips. next, use an eyeshadow brush to blend the lipstick outwards to diffuse the edges for a petal-like effect.
