How: A super-quick treatment from Singapore’s first peel bar, it starts with a cleanse before the therapist applies an organic peel solution enriched with buffered glycolic acid (derived from sugar cane) and organic citrus fruit acids that gently exfoliate and supposedly stimulate cellular renewal. The solution is left on for about five minutes before a neutralizer is applied to balance out skin’s pH levels, followed by a toner and water-based emulsion. A hydrating serum with jojoba and green tea is then massaged into skin, after which an eye serum (for firming and lifting) is gently patted around the eye area. The therapist then applies a layer of ultra-fluid sunblock to hydrate and protect my skin as the finishing step.
Verdict: There was a bit of peeling after, but much less than I had expected. The best part? No downtime, and my skin looked instantly plumper, more radiant and clearer.
