How: This semi-permanent treatment gives one fuller brows, with results said to last 18 months. It starts with a quick consultation on my concerns and preferred look (full, ombre, soft or classic? I chose ombre). Using a pencil, the therapist then fills in my brows before applying an anti-bleed lotion that’s left on for 20 minutes. While waiting, I’m presented with six dyes, and we discuss which is best suited for my skin tone. My therapist next starts etching out the strokes using an ultra-fine needle, while applying a numbing lotion. After 10 minutes, she touches up the lines before filling in the shape using a pointillism technique that creates full-looking brows with a gradient effect. After the whole process, an anti-inflammatory serum is applied to calm my skin, while an anti-scarring balm packed with vitamins A and D moisturises and reduces itch.

Verdict: It’s impressive how the procedure left no visible redness. Although there was mild stinging, it was bearable. My brows looked natural and fuller after.
