My Reading Room
ABOUT ME

EC: Balance between practicality and a gypsy soul. As a person who loves the arts and exploring new things, I strive for creativity and freedom, while my career in finance trained me to have an eye for numbers and strategic planning.

GO-TO DESTINATION

EC: Eastern Europe is my favourite place. I am attracted to its complexity and the conflicting cultures that emerged under the Turkish Ottoman Empire and communism. Budapest and Vienna were once the most charming and robust cities in terms of cultural development.

FAVOURITE STAY

EC: Copacabana Rio Hotel in Rio de Janeiro is one of the city’s most classic hotels, renowned for its fascinating view of the Copacabana Beach. The room design plunges you into vibrant Brazilian culture.

WHAT TO WEAR

EC: My travel wardrobe usually consists of a pair of Adidas trainers, sunglasses and Hermès perfume.

TOP THREE

EC: My Sony a7S camera, Apple Mac and Muji compartmental bag.

NEVER WITHOUT

EC: I couldn’t survive without my glasses! I am seriously shortsighted and carry them everywhere to make it through the day.

‘IT’ PRODUCT

EC: The Greenvines Moringa Oil from Beautegrity is the best way to combat the dryness of winter, highly effective in removing blackheads, lines and wrinkles with its anti-ageing properties.

FRAGRANCE PICK

EC: Un Jardin Sur Le Nil from Hermès. The scent is refreshing, relaxing and elegant.

BEAUTY MUST

EC: Toner provides basic protection for the skin, hydration and foundation, to maximise the benefits of other beauty products.

GUILTY PLEASURE

EC: Narisawa in Tokyo sells the most delicious bread in the world. Famous for their ‘Bread of the Forest 2010’ baked at your table, its texture is crispy outside and incredibly soft inside.

ME TIME

EC: When pondering a decision, a massage often allows me to take a step back and focus. The scalp massage at the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is my favourite way to truly unwind. Relaxing and meditating during the treatment helps me make up my mind and confidently leave with an answer.

TRAVEL TIP

EC: My favourite adventure is to just take any form of public transportation. It’s the fastest and best way to fall in love with a new city. I’ve encountered many surprises by getting on a train, whether it be meeting street artists or finding hidden spots, such as cafes and galleries.
