WITH 497 EXHIBITORS displaying a total of 579 boats, the prestigious European yachting event to be held at Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto is expecting more than 50,000 visitors with half from around the world. Porsche is the official partner of the event, with Studio Harcourt as the prestige partner, Louis Roederer as the festival partner and Lise Charmel as the fashion partner.

Many companies announced their debuts and premieres at the show. The eco-friendly Italian shipyard Arcadia will debut its Arcadia 85S with sky-lounge, Arcadia 100 and Arcadia Sherpa, while Azimut plans to bring its range of 17 yachts to the show, including the featured Azimut 66 Fly. Among the 87 premieres during the show, Benetti will come with 35.5m Mediterraneo 116 that focuses on brightness design. Italian shipyard Blue Martin’s Sea Top 13.90 will also show her face for the first time, and Custom Line will debut its Navetta 37. Another Italian shipyard Cantieri Estensi will preview 535 Maine and 545 GS. Sanlorenzo will showcase a total of eight yachts and exhibit the world premiere of the 25m long fibreglass planing hull SL78.

French shipyard Beneteau also will hold the world premiere of its new sailing yacht Oceanis 62, while British yacht builder Sunseeker will premiere its rakish-looking 116 Yacht, 95 Yacht, the 80 Sport Yacht and the performance cruiser – the San Remo. Outer Reef Yachts from the same country will have the world debut of its 24m yacht at the show. Invictus Yacht 370 GT will debut at the show and Fairline Yachts aims to display its Squadron 65 hardtop, Targa 53GT and Targa 48 Open. Princess will present a nine-yacht line-up including Princess 49, 30M and 75 Motor Yacht.

French shipbuilder Blue Ice will unveil the renewed version of the historic 38 V. Italian shipyard Evo Yachts will present the revolutionary 13m Evo 43. Turkish shipyard Numarine will have a double debut for 78HT Evolution and 60 Flybridge.

Williams Jet Tenders will showcase its Minijet models, powered by BRP Rotax Ace 900 engine, at the show. Zuccon International Project will show its designed yachts – Ferretti 450, Ferretti 850 and Custom Line Navetta 37. Builders represented by Simpson Marine will showcase around 60 yachts including MCY 80, Lagoon Seventy 7 and Beneteau Sense 57.

The Cannes show will organise the second edition of the Concours d’Elegance on September 8 for boats under 12m that pays tribute to the history of boating on the French Riviera. In addition to the select VIP Club - La Terrasse, the Riviera Card is offered to visitors looking for high-end services such as a helicopter ride, access to Porsche VIP Club and so on.
