AS WITH THE PREVIOUS EIGHT editions of the China Macau International Yacht Import & Export Fair, it will be held over four days. It has attracted over 50 internationally renowned yacht brands in the past, from 26 countries and regions including Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and mainland China.

Last year, the fair attracted more than 20,000 visitors, reaching a new high. More than 300 industry guests participated in forums and trade talks, and with more than 5,000 professional buyers in attendance turnover of water leisure equipment was at around 10,000 transactions.

More than 100 domestic and overseas yacht clubs were represented, and thousands of buyers, dealers, and overseas designers were invited to business discussions and to participate in on-site activities.

The consensus from organisers and visitors was that last year, as previously, successful networking and eye-opening products from exhibitors were useful for those with a professional or personal interest in yachts and marine leisure sports.

As well as appreciating luxury yachts up close, light entertainment shows will be staged, and visitors are also invited to participate in the 5th Asia-Pacific Yacht Industry High-Level Forum, as well as to watch the Junior OP Sailing Regatta, which will coincide with the show.

A theme for popular discussion inside and outside forums during the show is bound to be the consideration of potential business opportunities brought about by a planned new era of “free voyages” throughout Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macau, and throughout the emerging Greater Bay Area. Expect plenty of discussions on the effective implementation of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau individual yacht travel schemes.

The Macau Yacht Show is also working hard to promote Macau’s yacht industry development and to form a gathering place for yacht commercial services in Hong Kong and Macau, to make it become the significant platform of trade communication between the European, American and Chinese yacht industries.
