SAIGON YACHT AND MARINA (SYMC) has been named official Vietnam dealer for Aquila Power Catamarans. “Saigon Yacht and Marina is a critical partner for Aquila,” said Yvan Eymieu, Aquila Power Catamarans International Distribution Manager. “It is the most professional and prestigious yacht and marina service provider in Vietnam. And Aquila brings a complete line of luxury and sport vessels from 32 to 48 feet [11 to 14 metres].”

With more than 36 years of experience in the maritime and shipbuilding industry, SYMC’s focus is on yachts suitable for coastal Vietnamese cities and lakes, including multihull catamarans. Sunseeker 2018 Profits Leap

STRONG FINANCIAL PROGRESS of UK luxury performance motor-yacht manufacturer Sunseeker International, saw substantial growth in gross margins and retained profit – from £1.1 millon in 2017 to £6.6 millon in 2018. Pure boat operations – excluding other operating income – increased by almost £10 millon year-on-year. Underlying EBITDA was over £13 millon for 2018, more than doubling that recorded in 2017. SunseekerInternational Holdings Ltd group revenue was £299.8 millon in 2018, with gross margins increasing by 39 per cent (£9.8m) from 2017 to £35.3m in 2018.

“To oversee a 39 percent increase in our underlying gross margin is testament to Sunseeker’s focus on the quality of business, and not simply revenue growth,” commented Mike McMillan, Chief Financial Officer.
