GERMAN YARD BAVARIA has begun building its first power catamaran, the Nautitech 47 Power, at its Rochefort shipyard in France with the aim of displaying the model at shows in early 2018.

Powered by two Volvo Penta D4 motors, the 14m catamaran is expected to have a top speed of 22 knots and a cruising range of 1,000nm at about nine knots.

The flybridge, shaded by a bimini or a hardtop, features a barbecue and a wet bar, while on the main deck, the large cockpit has a long dining table and direct access to the saloon.

At the stern, the lifting platform between the hulls can be used as a lift for a tender, while in its central position, the platform links the two hulls to form a flat sunbathing area. The platform can also lower into the water for an in-water beach club.
