THE FOUR-DECK RIVA 50M, the first model of the Riva Superyachts Division, was recently manoeuvred to the Ferretti Group’s Super Yacht Yard in Ancona (below) as it stays on track for its launch in 2018.
The Super Yacht Yard is reserved by Ferretti Group for the construction of its 28-90m yachts in light alloy, steel and fibreglass for the CRN, Pershing, Custom Line and Riva brands.
Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group, said: “Today was a memorable day for Riva and we’re happy we have started a new chapter in our history. I am proud to be leading a group of true professionals who are turning the dream of Carlo Riva into something tangible.
“We took up his idea for an ambitious and adventurous feat of engineering and focused on building this magnificent fleet of superyachts in steel. The Riva 50m offers a superlative experience, with the mark of comfort, elegance and nautical art – values that have been the hallmark of the brand for the last 175 years.”
The steel and aluminium hull, which has a beam of 9m, is a collaboration between the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee, Riva SYD Engineering and Officina Italiana Design.
The superyacht can accommodate 12 guests in a master suite, a VIP cabin on the main deck and four VIP suites on the lower deck. The sun deck has a Jacuzzi, a sun pad and an area for dining and relaxing.
The yacht has a large beach club, while the garage can house a Williams Dieseljet 625 tender. The bow features a living area as well as a second garage with a hatch that opens for a rescue boat. Two jet-skis will be housed in the foredeck and deployed with a carbon davit.
The Captain’s cabin is located on the upper deck, while the lower deck houses four cabins for the crew, the galley, the cold room and storage room.
