Merry & Bright

To make sequins suitable for daywear, Jade advises dressing it down. “Go with something more utilitarian and you won’t even have to change as you go from day to night.”

Earrings from H&M. RIXO London dress, $620, from NET-A-PORTER. Ring, $699, from Swarovski. Sunglasses from Oliver Peoples. Rings and watch (worn throughout), Jade’s own.

The Christmas rush is something we all have to deal with year after year. The flurry of having to go from the office to the mall (for those last-minute Christmas gifts), and then to a party with friends means finding clothes that are equal parts dressy and functional – and no one understands the need to dress smart better than Jade Seah. Here, she shares about work, her style and how she glams up while on the go.

What keeps her busy

“On top of hosting shows and live events, I am busy running DELLAA, a lifestyle content and digital agency. It keeps me busy running around creating content! We interview people from various walks of life – from priests to tattoo artists and celebrities. There is no regular day for me. Some days, I’m doing background work for interviews; other days are spent shooting or preparing for live events.”

Her personal style

“I wear very much the same things I’ve always liked, updated with new season pieces. I consider myself lucky for not having to dress ‘corporate’, so I wear what I like depending on the weather and my mood. Denim is the basis for many of my looks, and I have jeans in all manner of washes and cuts.”

Party dressing must-haves

“Cut and fit are the most important factors. Comfort is important too – when I party, I don’t like to fuss with what I’ve got on! I love texture and details like sequins, colours, prints and ruffles.”

Her Christmas wishlist

“It sounds clichéd, but I really wish for peace and happiness for my loved ones and myself. The year has been quite tumultuous and it has made me treasure those peaceful moments.”

Her style mantra

“If you feel good, you look good.”
