Brass Jewellery

The benefits of this alloy (brass is a metal blend) are not as many as gold.

The benefits of this alloy (brass is a metal blend) are not as many as gold. It will tarnish and lose its lustre – but polishing will easily fix that. So why is it a hit with the fashion houses for their costume jewellery? It looks like aged gold but is lighter and more affordable. – BG

"When brass starts losing its lustre, soak it in some ketchup (seriously) and let it sit for up to 30 minutes before wiping it down. Cuff, $980, Chloe."

"How to tell if it’s really brass: Rub the piece between two fingers and sniff them – brass has a distinct metallic smell. Bracelet (price unavailable), Christian Dior."
