It Bags Designer Is Now Stuart Weitzman’s Designer
Bet you can’t name the designer of Chloe’s Paddington, Marc Jacobs’ Stam or Loewe’s Hammock, but you definitely know the bags well. Well, he’s Giovanni Morelli, who joined Stuart Weitzman last year as its first creative director. His first collection, for Pre-Fall, is as much about bags as it is about shoes. Its Shoebox shoulder bag looks exactly like the US brand’s shoeboxes, while the footwear itself has been given minor tweaks: the iconic stretch boot now comes in mixed materials like suede and leather; and slides are now embellished with fringe and hardware.
