Back to remind us of the playful side of timekeeping is Hermes’ upcoming exhibition this month: Time, A Hermes Object. Expect pirouetting apples, kaleidoscopic videos and human-sized interactive screens accompanying the maison’s time pieces to show you that, at Hermes, horology is akin to poetry. The Slim d’Hermes L’Heure Impatiente, a 2017 novelty, is a perfect example of this. Made in collaboration with Agenhor, the watch features a special reminder complication. Set the specific time of an event you’re looking forward to, and a countdown (located at seven o’clock) will commence an hour before the appointed time and sound a chime when the countdown ends. The touring exhibition will be held at Hermes Takashimaya and the Ngee Ann City Level 1 atrium, from Oct 27 to Nov 5.
