Painting your nails is one of the best ways to easily experiment with colours and add some spice to your look. Now here’s another excuse to try a variety of different hues.

OPI’s new Infinite Shine collection ($20 for 15ml) is the brand's next-generation long-wear lacquer line, made up of 30 of its most iconic shades, such as I’m Not Really a Waitress, Cajun Shrimp, and Malaga Wine. Whether you love a pale pink-nude, a bright purple, or a sexy red, you are bound to find a colour that makes you happy. This March, you can expect another 30 iconic shades to  be added to the collection.

But it’s not just the colours that will turn heads. The range is part of the brand’s professional three-step system – Primer, Lacquer and Gloss – that offers intense colour and a high-quality finish not unlike what you would get from a salon manicure or pedicure. OPI describes the Infinite Shine formula as one that offers up to 10 days of wear, a gel-like shine (no UV lamp or light needed), and easy, soak-free removal.

NAILING IT

Gel nail colours are popular because they last longer than regular nail polish and always look fresh and glossy. However, you have to “cure” and “set” the colour under a UV lamp, potentially exposing your skin to UV damage.

Now, you can give your tips and toes a colourful, high-shine finish with Sally Hansen Miracle Gel and Miracle Gel 2x Volume Top Coat ($16.90 each). Use them together at home to get the look of a gel manicure – without a trip to the salon. Simply apply two thin coats of Miracle Gel colour to clean, bare nails, followed by one coat of the Miracle Gel Top Coat. The top coat gives ultimate volume and shine as it protects, and will make your nails look dramatically fuller, with a high-gloss, mirror-shine finish. You don’t need to cure the gel under a UV lamp either, and you can easily take the colour off with regular nail-polish remover.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is available in a variety of gorgeous shades. Colours such as 238 Regal Rose (a sparkling pale peony) and 470 Red Eye (a delightful cherry red) are perfect for those who want to stand out. If you love classic nude nail colours, try 110 Birthday Suit.
