The latest timepiece from Hublot is more than a fusion of haute couture and technology – it’s a celebration of a decade of horological innovation.

My Reading Room

It has been 10 years since Hublot created the Big Bang, the award-winning timepiece known for its multi-component construction and a mix of traditional and state-of-the-art materials. But not one to rest on its laurels, the Swiss watchmaking brand has reinvented this iconic luxury watch numerous times over the decade, creating bold and colourful statement timepieces for the modern woman.

EMBROIDERED ELEGANCE

The latest collection is Big Bang Broderie, which brings together artisanal craftsmanship and horological design. The standout feature of these timepieces is the fine St Gallen embroidery on tulle,  in haute couture and luxury lingerie. Using an exclusive new process, the 100 per cent Swiss-made embroidered elements are encased and moulded in carbon fibre to amplify the texture of the embroidery. The skull pattern on the dial adds a rebellious touch which is offset by luxurious features such as diamonds, and the arabesque designs on the case, bezel and strap.
But the Big Bang Broderie is not just about looks – under its intricate design is the HUB1110 automatic mechanical movement featuring 63 components, 21 jewels and 42-hour power reserve. Th is ultra-elegant timepiece is available in three colours with gold, silver or black embroidery.
