1. THE CITY STEAMER

If you can’t get enough of small weekend bags, you’ll love that the structured City Steamer tote has been given the mini treatment. Launched in Cruise 2016 and inspired by the original Steamer (made to hold laundry), the bag’s flap is replaced by a practical zipper – so you can reach for your lipstick and purse easily. If you fancy bag charms like we do, there’s an adorable City Steamer one that doubles as a coin purse.

2. THE SOFIA COPPOLA

Trust this famed It girl, director and LV muse to dream up such a chic and timeless holdall. Sofia referenced the brand’s iconic Speedy style and designed this in 2009 with a busy career woman in mind. It’s refreshed this season with all-over perforations. This smart update not only gives the leather bag a new lightness, but also a sporty look.

3 THE TWIST

The Twist has had a few updates since its debut in 2014, and this new one has won our hearts. It combines three materials – Monogram Canvas, hand-painted leather and studded leather – in a graphic shoulder style that’ll punch up your fave black looks. The same technique of almostseamless patchworking is also showcased in new versions of the City Steamer, Petite Malle, and a zip pouch your other half will want to borrow.

THE CAPUCINES

Named after the street where the first Louis Vuitton store once stood, the Capucines has become known as a roomy transformer bag: Tuck its flap in to reveal the minimalist LV initials, or pull out the flap to showcase a feminine Monogram flower. New this season? Styles loaded with textures – think bags in multicoloured tweed, with feathers and metal embellishments.

Leather with feathers and metal embellishments, $11,100.
