When creative director Alessandro Michele took the reins at Gucci in 2015, he brought with him an eclectic, romantic aesthetic that celebrates individuality and freedom. Though the brand’s Guilty scents were launched five years before his arrival, they perfectly complement his style. For Her uses geranium, typically found in men’s scents, while For Him is characterised by sensual orange blossom, a common ingredient in women’s fragrances. Michele says these are scents for “anarchists” or “hedonistic libertines” – those who defy conventions to be truly free, ever relevant and impervious to the passage of time.
