Lash out

Twiggy-inspired lashes were all the rage on the Spring/Summer 2016 runways. Here’s how to get your own: curl your lashes, apply a coat of volumising lash primer, then finish with a few coats of mascara. We like Dior Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volumeplumping Lash Primer ($53), which not only plumps lashes, but also boosts the intensity of the mascara applied over it, and Dior Diorshow Designer Mascara in #088 Pro Anthracite ($53), a dark grey that’s less harsh than black.

Underliner

Models on the Ohne Titel Spring/Summer 2016 runway sported a thick line of matte pink beneath the lower lash lines – a look that’s perfect for a Friday night out, don’t you think? Recreate it with M.A.C Flamingo Park Eye Shadow in Flock & Roll ($30), a light pastel pink; apply with a damp brush for a more intense finish. Then, apply some tinted lash primer – we’re loving the mink-brown Benefit They’re Real! Tinted Primer ($37) – to give your lashes some natural-looking definition.

Just a smudge

Also hot this season: the smoky under-eye. To get the look, apply eyeshadow just below your lower lash lines – use a waterproof one such as Sisley Phyto-eye Twist in Amethyst ($58) so the colour doesn’t fade – and smudge it out. Then, line your eyes – try Kate Digital Memory Liner in BK-1 Digital Black ($20.50) – and top off with a black mascara such as Kate Virtual Long Lash in BK-1 Hard Black ($25.50).
