Sisley Sisleya L’integral Anti-age, $590.
It took over 10 years to formulate, but this face cream is worth the wait. Good-for-skin ingredients such as shea butter, Persian acacia extract and a yeast-and-soy-protein complex work together to encourage skin cell renewal, protect the skin, and reportedly prevent the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. The cream, which is to be used twice a day, is available in two formulations: Sisleya L’integral Anti-age, which has a light, silky consistency, and Sisleya L’integral Anti-age Extrarich, which has a thicker texture and more hydrating ingredients.
Sisley Sisleya Daily Line Reducer, $550.
This hydrating, skin-smoothing serum is said to plump up fine lines and wrinkles to minimise their appearance, leaving you with a silky-smooth visage that also makes you look younger and more rested than you actually are. Bonus: the relaxing scent of lavender and marjoram.
Sisley Sisleya Eye and Lip Contour Cream, $224.
Thanks to ingredients such as skin-softening liquorice, moisturising provitamin B5 and orange blossom, said to tone skin, this dual-purpose cream purportedly tightens wrinkles in the eye area, as well as firms the skin around the mouth while improving skin elasticity.
Sisley Sisleya Essential Skin Care Lotion, $200.
With anti-ageing ingredients such as ginkgo biloba and marshmallow extract, this lotion hydrates, protects and tones the skin. It also preps skin to better absorb the skincare applied after, thereby improving the efficacy of subsequent products.
SET THE MOOD
Having trouble winding down after a long day? Here are my top tips for a restful evening.
Dim the lights
Turn down the lights when prepping for bed. Bright lights suppress the production of melatonin, the hormone that maintains the body’s circadian rhythm and tells the mind and body that it’s time to sleep.
Light a candle
Go for one with a calming and relaxing scent, such as lavender and sandalwood.
Play some music
Try Weightless by Marconi Union. According to the British Academy of Sound Therapy, a UK-based sound therapy training establishment, it is one of the most soothing tunes ever recorded.
