Alexander Wang and Bvlgari have come together to release a capsule collection of the latter’s Serpenti bag with a twist.
"The tote comes in two sizes, S & L. Only S is available in galuchat (stingray)."
One is an American designer known for his edgy, monochromatic downtown New York aesthetic. The other, a storied Italian jeweller with an iconic bag that’s an extension of its heritage – bold, classy and luxurious. The unexpected yet brilliant partnership sees Alexander Wang adding a youthful twist to Bvlgari’s classic Serpenti bags.
Their opposite worlds collide to give form to a series of limited-edition bags with double and triple flaps, plus a few new iterations such as a tote and a boxy minaudiere.
All versions, except the satchel, will be available at #01-03 Ion Orchard and #B1-35/36 The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. From $2,440. – ST
1 The minaudiere is available only in black calf leather.
2-4 This can be carried by its detachable top handle or worn with the straps as a cross-body or belt bag, making it very versatile. The calf leather comes in white, black and mint green.
5&6 The difference between the shoulder bag with double (6) and triple flaps (5): two versus three of Bvlgari’s iconic serpent heads as bag closures.
