If you missed our exclusive styling workshop with this brand in March, don’t fret: Here are the highlights of the event and the label’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection.

What went down on the evening of March 11, at DKNY’s Ion Orchard boutique: We introduced design duo Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne’s very first DKNY collection to 35 Her World readers. The event included a 30-minute presentation of 15 outfits put together by Her Worldfashion editor Ian Lee (with Her World editor Tracy Lee in the picture on the right). 

Key elements of DKNY’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection: tailored shorts, shirt dresses, pinstripes and deconstructed suits. Dao-Yi and Maxwell (who are also behind street brand Public School) referenced one of DKNY’s most iconic looks: the ’90s pinstriped power suit.

Workshop attendees got a closer look at the brand’s clever layering, proportions and tailoring details like wide lapels, extended cuff s and exaggerated shoulders.
