The actress, who appears in Ryan Murphy’s new Netflix series, Hollywood, takes a low-key approach to glamour

My summer style is e ortless and undone. I’m usually in white and preferably barefoot. I love my Louis Vuitton tote. Some of my other seasonal staples: Solid & Striped bikinis, K. Jacques sandals, big gold hoops from Jennifer Fisher, turbans and a collection of sarongs I’ve picked up from various places all over the world. I’ve travelled to the Caribbean island of Bequia with my family many times since I was a child. I have so many special memories, from dancing all night to a steel drum band at the weekly “jump up” party to exploring the ruins of the Moonhole settlement at the edge of the island. Snorkelling alongside dozens of sea turtles from Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary is something I’ll never forget. The owner, Orton “Brother” King, raises baby sea turtles to maturity before releasing them back into the ocean. Single-handedly, he has rebuilt the hawksbill turtle population in the Grenadines from near extinction! There’s nothing like relaxing with a good book. I recently nished The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami. I love reggae. During the day, I’ll listen to Bob Marley, Toots and the Maytals, and Sister Nancy. At night, I love dancing to Chaka Demus & Pliers and Barrington Levy. The woman in my life who most infl uenced my personal style was my Aunt Franchee. She was an incredibly chic, well-travelled woman, and she taught me how style can project who you are to the world. My style icon is Eartha Kitt. She always looked so cool and glamorous, but her style never felt forced. I rely on Tom Ford Beauty’s Shade and Illuminate palette to stay bronzy and highlighted. Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss in Caramel is a pretty, easy neutral—perfect for summer. Glossier’s Boy Brow keeps my brows under control while the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask and Caudalie Beauty Elixir keep my skin hydrated. My signature fragrance is Boss Alive by Hugo Boss. If I’m not wearing that while on vacation, I cover my skin and hair in Monoï Tiki Tahiti’s Monoï Tiare Tahiti coconut oil. It’s super moisturising and smells amazing.
