My Reading Room

Crafted in gold-plated sterling silver, PANDORA Shine is the jewellery House’s new and affordable gold-plated collection, made with the same high-quality craftsmanship standards and ethics that have come to be expected of each PANDORA design. It’s the first collection by PANDORA’s new VP Creative Directors, Francesco Terzo and Alessandro Filippo Ficarelli, and consists of two new ranges: Rays of Sunshine and Bee Mine. The modern pieces include a delightful mix of signature elements from the brand’s history, paired with new design details such as innovative stone cuts and glass techniques.

BEE MINE
The industrious bee plays muse to designs found in glossy honey hues, black enamel stripes, and yellow and clear cubic zirconia stones. The limited edition choker, ring and bracelet (pictured on the right) featuring a honeycomb design are great statement pieces that can be worn together for greater visual buzz.

RAYS OF SUNSHINE
As its name suggests, this collection is inspired by the brilliance of the sun. The minimalist pieces feature a vibrant mix of yellow enamel and gold-coloured cubic zirconia that are perfect for layering in a way that is uniquely you.

DYNAMIC DUO

PANDORA’s new VP Creative Directors plan to evolve the Danish brand’s range of contemporary, high-quality jewellery

Francesco Terzo and Alessandro Filippo Ficarelli first met each other in Italy over a decade ago. With the perfect combination of backgrounds in art and fashion—Terzo studied art in Milan; Ficarelli, fashion in London—the pair founded their own menswear brand, MeMine, in 2004. It went on to be highlighted by international publications as a brand to watch, with fashion institutions like Pitti Immagine inviting the duo to showcase their designs.

With their success in the fashion industry, Terzo and Ficarelli began working as freelance consultants for a range of brands, specialising in accessories. By 2010, they were headhunted to work as joint Creative Directors of the Milanese consultancy, GB Studio, where they led a team of designers on international projects, and worked with luxury brands such as Dior and Ralph Lauren.

It was at GB studio that Terzo and Ficarelli began consulting on PANDORA’s collections, a successful relationship that eventually led to them becoming PANDORA’s new VP Creative Directors. “We are working to really understand our consumers and design jewellery that connects with them in a long-term way. PANDORA is very specific and loved, so we want to curate the brand DNA through our contemporary way of seeing designs; iconising classic pieces and creating new icons,” Terzo and Ficarelli said in a statement.

The PANDORA Shine collection ranges from $39 - $349
