It might’ve been a day packed with events, but Singapore’s most fashionable made sure to clear their schedules for the opening of Salvatore Ferragamo’s new boutique in ION Orchard. Guests were greeted by a façade adorned with aluminium rib panels inspired by the iconic Vara bow’s grosgrain texture, as rows of leather confections led into a millennial’s dream interior—think gleaming marble and travertine surfaces, sleek brass fixtures and velvety furnishing in the perfect shade of pink. Encapsulating this refreshed direction are shoes from the House’s first-ever Design Director of Women’s Footwear, Paul Andrew.
The architectural beauties he designed for his inaugural collection for Ferragamo, which breathe new life into Signor Ferragamo’s classics, were placed like sculptures on pedestal-like stands for all to take in first- hand.
