CACTUS CHARM

Before Cartier’s Cactus de Cartier collection, few would ever think that the hardy desert plant could be so chic. Launched late last year, the collection featured bulbous shapes with thickets of gleaming, glittering “thorns”, calibrated to perfection and topped with gems that included lapis lazuli, chrysoprase, carnelian and emerald. This year, the marque has introduced pink gold earrings, rings and pendant necklaces crowned with spinel and diamonds. Two clutches complete the garden.
