1. UGG THE COAST

Utilitarian sheepskin boot brand Ugg is revisiting its beach heritage, and what better time than summer to launch such a collection? Choose from loafers, slides, sneakers and sandals ($105-$240) in lovely pastels, with fluffy sheepskin uppers, pom- pom embellishments, as well as classic Ugg details. Keeping comfort prime are the brand’s signature well-cushioned insoles and support.

2. SHINE LIKE A DIAMOND

CNP Eau Thermale Cushion Dazzling Therapy SPF50+/PA+++ ($58) comes closest to making Rihanna’s throaty refrain a reality for your skin. Formulated with a slew of active ingredients, including the brand’s patented thermal water, it hydrates skin, strengthens its barrier, conditions, and lends it luminosity. Plus, it has 3D Reflection Powder, which reflects light, imparting an almost multidimensional shine to skin, along with a flawless finish.

3. AN EXPLORER’S DIARY

The intrigue, adventure and  experience of the Silk Route reimagined in a fun, vibrant collection – that’s Bonia’s S/S ’18 collection in a nutshell. As if taking a leaf out of Marco Polo’s travel diary, the collection encapsulates the cultural diversity, changing backdrops (from rich Asian colours to arid Middle Eastern deserts and the deep azures of the Mediterranean) and artistic nuances of this historical route. Think totes and bucket bags in vibrant colours and with exotic motifs.

4. LIFE IN COMFORT

New York-based, British-born designer Hana Tajima has released the second phase of her Lifewear collection for Uniqlo. Her focus: Comfort aided by versatility, and femininity aided by choice – all supported by Uniqlo’s fabric technology. Expect pieces that are simple, elegant and on-trend, from inner hijabs to long jackets ($9.90-$99.90). Available in stores and at www.uniqlo.com.sg

5. FREAK OUT

When Ulysse Nardin’s Freak watch was launched, it was one of a kind – right from the first-ever use of silicon parts in a mechanical movement, to a few other standouts (no crown, dial or hands). Now, the time has come for it to share the spotlight with others. Cue the launch of the Freak Vision and Freak Vision Coral Bay for SIHH 2018, and four more slated to join this party of unusual haute horlogerie. The new entrants have all the aspects that set the Freak apart, along with alterations such as silicon impulse wheels in place of the traditional anchor, and anchor wheels in its centre. Also, the fact that they come in titanium (as well as gold, like the original) will help garner more fans for sure.
