What makes an It bag: an instantly recognisable design, artisanal make, and universal lust-worthiness (everybody covets it). Together with Dior, Female spotlights the label’s latest that bring a youthful effortlessness to the term.
Lady Dior
A long-standing It bag, well loved for its structured box shape, woven Cannage texture and all-round elegance. (No wonder the original version’s named Iconic.) True to her feminine-yet-cool spirit, creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s also introduced the Soft rendition, which slouches slightly, thanks to a new stitching.

Dio(r)evolution
Its bold, street-influenced metal logo made everyone sit up when it was introduced as part of Grazia Chiuri’s S/S ’17 debut. A refreshingly cool take on a classic ladylike handbag, it now also comes in glossy crinkled calfskin – the result of tumble drying the leather – that ups the edge.

C’est Dior
Another Fall ’17 debut, this envelope-style shoulder handbag boasts a playful turnlock clasp from the archives that spells “CD” (for Christian Dior) in 3-D when closed – and plenty of ’70s sophistication.

Dior Addict
Debuted in Fall ’17, its most striking feature is its metal clasp inspired by that on vintage trunks, and a small version of the brassy logo hardware seen on the Dio(r)evolution. The equally hip shapes: a flap bag, briefcase-like top handle, and a petite box dubbed a shoulder case, with the medium flap bag boasting a Navajo-esque strap that can be used with other styles.
