This season’s trend is really about bringing out one primary colour on the lips. Previously known as a notoriously hard-to-wear colour, purple can be much more flattering than you think.
This particular shade of magenta-meets- violet is bright without looking too vampy, and makes a great alternative to red. Terry Barber, M.A.C Director of Makeup Artistry, says that what makes this bold lip trend fuss-free and easy to adopt is that the stronger the lip, the simpler the rest of the face can be.
