My Reading Room

Honey

This makes a sweet, tangy dressing. Try Attiki honey, which is similar to raw honey and is less processed.

Mustard

The best friend of any meat. Go for Colman’s yellow mustard for a little heat.

Sriracha sauce

For that spicy kick. It’s savoury, so use less salt when you prep your meal.

Fish sauce

It’s, well, fishy, yes. And pungent. But just a few drops will brighten noodles, soup or meat.

Sea salt

For taste, of course. Pick sea salt over regular table salt. It’s less processed and  contains more trace minerals. But it’s still salt, so use sparingly to cut back on sodium.
