IMPERIAL TREASURE FINE TEOCHEW CUISINE:

A LESSON IN REFINEMENT Not only has the restaurant relocated to ION Orchard, it has also launched an impressive new menu of fresh seafood and marinated meats that will surely tantalise the palate. Case in point: the Diced Abalone and Chicken Wrapped in Egg White. Diced abalone, chicken, prawn, ham and Chinese mushroom are wrapped in a delicately thin egg white sheet, then drizzled with flavourful chicken stock – a traditional recipe passed down from master chefs.

Then there’s Exhibit B: the Classic Chilled Flower Crab in Teochew StyleOnly black vinegar and ginger are used to subtly season the crustacean, so the crab’s sweet freshness and the original taste of the sea shines through.

LETAO: WESTERN DESSERT, THE JAPANESE WAY

Founded in Hokkaido, Japan, in 1998, LeTAO is an international confectionery brand with locations across Asia (now including Singapore) and is known for combining Japanese ingredients with western confectionery. Its signature Double Fromage two-layer cheesecake features an upper layer of creamy smooth no-bake mascarpone cheese and a lower layer of rich baked Hokkaido cream cheese. It’s baked using a specific freezing technology that helps the cake retain its melt-in-themouth texture. Cocoa fans will love the winning combination of rich chocolate and milky cheese in the Chocolat Double variation, where the bitterness of cocoa and the subtle sourness of cheese creates a harmonious and elegant sweetness.
