Among flagship limousines, it is the BMW 7 Series which delivers the perfect combination of luxury and performance.
But apart from these traditional characteristics, the 7 Series is also the leader when it comes to connectivity, a trait that has become integral to the driving experience.
We asked Adrian Ng and his wife Loh May-Han, who are both anaesthesiologists, to take some time from their busy schedules to drive the 7 Series and try out its suite of connectivity features.
Naturally, both Adrian and MayHan had plenty of plaudits to share following their experience.

How did you both feel about having Intelligent Emergency Call in the car?

MH: To know that help is just a button press away is extremely reassuring, but it is a function that we all hope not to use!

AN: That’s right. I also like how the system knows which part of the car is damaged and can escalate the emergency service response if it deems that the situation is dire.

Is the Remote Services function in the BMW Connected app something you would use?

MH: Our unrelenting weather causes the car interior to become unbearably hot. I love how the air-conditioning can be remotely turned on to cool the cabin before you reach the vehicle.

AN: I like being able to check on the service status of the car from time to time – just to make sure that everything is functioning well!

What did you think about the Concierge Service?

Adrian Ng (AN): Well, every tech giant has their digital personal assistant, but BMW’s version with a real human voice is really the icing on the cake! It is really effective and practical as the concierge has access to a myriad of information, and harnesses this to improve your life!

May-Han (MH): I find the Concierge Service to be very personable and convenient. It is almost like having a personal assistant with me, who knows the way to the nearest petrol kiosk and is able to direct the car via the fastest route to my favourite restaurants and boutiques.

Do you feel that Real Time Traffic Information would be helpful to doctors like yourselves?

AN: As a BMW owner, I feel that the RTTI is a time and life-saver. It has shaved precious minutes off my travel time on a daily basis, and believe me, these minutes do add up!

MH: Apart from saving time, it also gives one peace of mind, especially when it informs you that there is a jam ahead. In land-scarce Singapore, sometimes there is just no reasonable detour to avoid a jam – but the information about the estimated arrival time and the exact location of the hold-up always allays the mind.
