Welcome to the pyrotechnic experience.
They’re not just for show. The four exhaust pipes at the back of the McLaren 765LT spit flames when the car is decelerated hard, so the engineers had to shave a portion off the extended active rear wing to prevent it from melting when exposed to the flames. Also, the trypophobia-inducing holes on the back carbon fibre panels help to cool the engine when it runs hot.
