They’re not just for show. The four exhaust pipes at the back of the McLaren 765LT spit flames when the car is decelerated hard, so the engineers had to shave a portion off the extended active rear wing to prevent it from melting when exposed to the flames. Also, the trypophobia-inducing holes on the back carbon fibre panels help to cool the engine when it runs hot.
