Land Rover Classic’s new Range Rover Reborn programme has successfully restored the first of 10 units, a Bahama Gold 1978 model with 3.5-litre V8 engine, 4-speed manual transmission and lockable central differential.

The expert restoration team followed the model series’ 1970s factory specifications and used authentic parts throughout.

The same team also provides advice to customers on the best options for base vehicles in terms of history, collectability, preferred chassis numbers and unique characteristics. Prices start from £135,000 – roughly the cost of two brand new 3-litre turbo-diesel Range Rovers in the UK.

The original Land Rover Rangie was launched in 1970, first as a two-door and later, in 1981, as a four-door. The car defined the genre of the luxury 4x4 SUV and refined it in the past few decades.
