How to build The Perfect Man

Mr Perfect looks like this: tall, hairy, smart and with a broad forehead. Oh, and smokin’ hot. We didn’t pluck this out of thin air – we’ve got research to back it up.

Hairy guys are smarter

A study led by Dr Aikarakudy Alias, a psychiatrist in Missouri, USA, ranked students based on their academic results and found that those with better grades had more body hair. This suggests that hairy men tend to be more intelligent. Of course, there are always exceptions. Albert Einstein, for one, had no body hair. (Bet you didn’t know that.)

Men with broader foreheads are more generous

A team of psychologists from the University of Western Ontario in Canada discovered that a broad forehead signifies someone who is generous, intelligent and wise. So if you are dating a guy with a broad forehead, lucky you! Sounds like you’ve got the best of all worlds.

Unfaithful guys have a lower IQ

According to Dr Satoshi Kanazawa, an evolutionary psychologist from London School of Economics and Political Science, intelligent people are more likely to value sexual exclusivity. In other words, men who succumb to temptation and cheat on their partners tend to have a lower IQ.

Hot guys get jobs more easily

Yes, it’s true. According to a study published by The Royal Economic Society, attractive guys who attach their photos to resumes received more calls from potential employers compared to those who didn’t. On the flipside, women who did the same thing faced more rejections instead. Food for thought?

Taller guys earn more

Height can be a sensitive topic for some men, and it seems the obsession with being tall might be rooted in something deeper than physical appearance. A study suggests that an extra inch is worth an average of USD $800 a year. Hmm, do insoles count?

Garlic makes men smell more attractive

Researchers from Charles University in Prague conducted a study in which a group of men were put under three conditions: some were asked to ingest raw garlic, some consumed garlic capsules, while the rest didn’t eat any food that contained garlic. Over the span of 12 hours, their perspiration was collected on special pads and rated by women. Surprisingly, results showed that the more garlic they ate, the more attractive they were perceived. Who knew? So go ahead and let your man order that plate of aglio olio on your next date!
