TURKISH SHIPYARD NUMARINE launched its first 32XP in Istanbul in the presence of the yacht’s owner, the shipyard’s repeat client who ordered the yacht in June 2016.

My Reading Room

The 32m yacht has a steel displacement hull, a GRP superstructure and a displacement of just under 300gt, the maximum limit of the category. She has a top speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 3,000nm at nine knots.

Can Yalman, a long-time Numarine collaborator, was responsible for the exterior and interior design. Umberto Tagliavini was the naval architect, while the shipyard also partnered with Silent Line to reduce noise and vibration in a bid to surpass RINA Comfort Class Certification.

The large cockpit on the main deck offers 64sqm of living space, including side passages, and features a sunpad area behind the couch. An expansive 48sqm saloon leads to a lobby area, which accesses a day head, a gym to starboard and a 30sqm-plus full-beam master cabin forward with separate his and hers bathrooms sharing a central shower.

Below deck are two VIP cabins midship and two double cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms.

Forward are a Captain’s cabin with en-suite and two more en-suite cabins for a total of five crew, while a kitchen with dinette area and a laundry room complete the crew area.

On the upper deck, the owner’s cabin with over 40sqm of living space includes a large walk-in closet and a bathroom with sliding doors that open up to an open area that can fit a 9m RIB tender and two jet-skis with a 2.5-tonne crane. Forward of the wheel house is a large couch area with bimini, a cocktail table and two extensive sunpad areas, for 129sqm of external space.

The fly bridge offers 60sqm of entertainment space, customised in the first hull to include three couches, a 12-person dining table, two large sunpad areas, a fully fitted bar, three navigation seats and a central secondary helm station.

Numarine sold its second 32XP in August to an experienced American owner and delivery is scheduled in the summer of 2018. www.numarine.com. www.asiamarine.com
