A clean, well-organised fridge helps keep food fresh longer, but it’s also the one place in the kitchen that working women and busy mums tend to forget about. But when you’re hosting a house party or flying off on an annual family holiday, a dirty and untidy fridge is a health risk and an eyesore. Follow these four tips to help your kitchen workhorse keep your food in prime condition:

1. Maintain the right temperature

Ideally, refrigerated food should be kept between 3-4 degrees Celsius and frozen food at -18 degrees Celsius to prevent them from going bad. With Samsung’s Twin Cooling PlusTM technology, there will be better temperature and humidity control in the freezer and refrigerator as each compartment has a separate cooling system. This means that the cold, dry air in the freezer will not be shared with refrigerator, while keeping a high humidity level of 70%+ within the refrigerator for fresh food to stay fresh longer. So you can worry less about your produce wilting, saving you unnecessary trips to the grocery store.

2. Throw out

When prepping large meals, you need to make space for more groceries. If you’re leaving for a long vacation, throw away highly perishable food that might spoil. Samsung’s super versatile fridge gives you more control over storage space with up to five Smart Conversion modes, meaning you can easily convert your freezer into a fridge and vice versa for more or less cooling space depending on your needs!

3. Eliminate stink with coffee

Spread some coffee grounds on a tray to absorb any strong smells, although this doesn’t solve the problem of odour transfer between compartments. The two separate airflows in Samsung’s Twin Cooling PlusTM fridge help keep bad smells isolated from each other. This means that fishy seafood smells from above won’t contaminate the cake in the refrigerator space, preserving the freshness and natural flavours of your ingredients.

4. Store perishables deeper in

Keep items like milk and eggs in the main compartments where temperatures are colder and more stable instead of the fridge door. Plus, achieve fussfree access to items in the back with the Easy Slide Shelf in the Samsung fridge.
