Trellis Christmas Tree
MATERIALS

• Trellis slats, nailed into shape of a tree, painted white • Thin piping cord • Scissors • Baubles • Star ornament • Nails to hang tree.

ASSEMBLY
Thread thin piping cord through baubles.

Decorative Ice Bucket
MATERIALS

• 2 metal or plastic bowls (not glass as it may crack), one bowl about 5 cm smaller than the other • Jug • Flowers/foliage/berries • Scissors and masking tape • Tea towel • Ice cubes and bottle drinks, to serve.

ASSEMBLY
Place the small bowl inside the large bowl. Pour water into cavity between bowls just until the rims are flush. Tape to keep rim steady, then freeze.

Remove from freezer and place a layer of berries, flowers and foliage in cavity between the bowls. Top halfway with water and freeze. Repeat once more so the ice reaches 1 cm below the rims.

To remove your ice bucket, pour a cup of hot water into the smaller bowl to loosen and remove. Turn over and rub large bowl with a tea towel soaked in hot water to loosen.

Fabric Wreath
MATERIALS

• 2 to 3 metres white, pure cotton fabric • Scissors • Bamboo hoop (ours is from Spotlight) • Small container for dye • Paintbrush • Dylon dye in your choice of colour • 2 tbsps salt • Detergent • String • Baubles.

ASSEMBLY
Rip cotton fabric into strips around 5 cm x 25 cm pieces (no need to be exact) and tie around the bamboo hoop.

Pour ¼ of the packet of Dylon dye (we used navy blue) into the container. Add 2 tbsps salt and 1 tsp detergent, then fill it with boiling water and mix. Use a paintbrush to loosely dab dye onto the wreath.
