Monday, 7am: Go for a morning run

Roll out of bed and slip into your sneakers for a run – it’s the best way to start a new work week. Skip the hassle of taking your smartphone along. You won’t need it. Not when you can keep track of your route and the distance covered with the Samsung Gear Sport or Gear Fit2 Pro. Light and compact, these fitness trackers are easy to navigate and super comfortable to wear. They’re also compatible with most devices running on Android 4.4 or iOS 9.0 and above. If you’re an iPhone user, download the Samsung Gear app from the App Store, and you’re good to go.

Tuesday, 9am: Ace that workstrategy meeting

Keep an eye on your stress level. Both the Gear Sport and Gear Fit2 Pro record your heart rate all day in real time. Spot an abnormally speedy heart rate? That’s a reminder to take deep breaths, or go for a walk to clear your head.

Wednesday, 6pm: Relax on the commute home

Tune out peak period crowds by plugging in with the Samsung Gear IconX, a sleek pair of cord-free ear buds (available in black, grey, and pink). With a storage capacity of 4GB, it lets you upload more than 400 songs from your phone. Its solid battery life also means you get up to five hours of music streaming, or seven hours of standalone music playback. Control your playlists with taps and swipes, without ever having to reach for your phone. The ear buds also fit snugly, so they stay in even as you run errands or work out.

Thursday, 3pm: Do a coffee run

Forgot your wallet? No problem. Make payments on the go with the Gear Sport, which can access Samsung Pay with a flick of your wrist.

Friday, 9pm: Let your hair down on a night out

You’re heading for drinks with your squad, and putting your look together. Switch up the Gear Sport 20mm’s watch face and strap to match your party look. When you’re ready, go out and enjoy some drinks – guilt-free. Your device keeps tabs on how many calories you’re burning, so you’ll know whether you need to bust out more moves on the dance floor. Now who said partying hard doesn’t pay off?

Saturday, 5pm: Go for a swim

Take the water-resistant Gear Sport or Gear Fit2 Pro with you. Sync it with Speedo’s latest swimming training app, Speedo On – which tracks key swim metrics, including lap count and lap time. At up to 50m below the surface, your fitness trackers will work just fine. Just skip diving or any highpressure water activities.

Sunday, 8am: Improve your fitness

Activate the Gear IconX’s built-in coach feature simply by tapping the ear buds. It’ll log your time and distance, plus prompt you on the best time to pick up speed – like having a personal trainer running alongside you. Or use the Gear and Gear Fit2 Pro’s complementary Samsung Health app to create training plans for an upcoming marathon, or set better health and diet goals. Samsung Gear has also tied up with third-party apps like My Fitness Pal (which tracks calories you consume and burn) and Map My Run (which tracks running routes), so you can keep using them and track all data on a single dashboard.

MAKE THOSE STEPS COUNT

Samsung has tied up with the National Steps ChallengeTM Season 3 as one of its official tracker partners. Until Apr 30, 2018, you stand to win prizes such as plane tickets and a massage chair. All you have to do is download the Healthy 365 mobile app, sign up for the Challenge, choose any compatible mobile apps and trackers, and aim for at least 10,000 steps a day. Just be sure to update your step count weekly to avoid losing your step count data. Visit www.stepschallenge.sg for the lowdown. Terms and conditions apply.
