Want to look younger, but don’t want to bear the high costs of invasive cosmetic procedures such as facelifts, nor contend with the pain, risks and long recovery time involved? Apart from maintaining a healthy lifestyle and diet, you can now turn to the Ultraformer HIFU treatment offered by Simplistiq Aesthetic Clinic for help.

SAFE, QUICK AND NON-INVASIVE

Promising a lifting effect said to be equivalent to that offered by a surgical facelift, the Ultraformer HIFU treatment (from $1,400 for a full-face treatment) reportedly targets all layers of the skin, including the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) – a layer of connective tissue that gives the face its shape. When the skin ages, the SMAS weakens and gets lax, resulting in sagginess and wrinkles. It is the SMAS that cosmetic surgeons target when performing surgical facelifts.

At the heart of the treatment is the Ultraformer HIFU machine – said to be the only non-invasive medical device that delivers energy into all layers of the skin – which utilises highintensity focused ultrasound energy to heat up target areas to a temperature of between 65 and 75 deg C. This purportedly causes collagen fibres to contract, so skin appears smoother and tauter.

It takes just about an hour to treat the entire face, and it’s largely painless – all you’ll feel are some prickling sensations and bearable heat.

Results are gradual; the promise is visibly brighter skin, with reduced hyperpigmentation, four weeks post-treatment, along with long-term lifting and tightening effects. Best results are seen two months post-treatment, and once-a-year maintenance treatments are recommended.

Simplistiq Aesthetic Clinic is at #B2-52 Marina Bay Link Mall. For more information, visit www.simplistiq.sg or call 6634-4033.
