This alternative R&B chanteuse has come a long way from her days uploading acoustic covers on Youtube. The 21-year-old has since opened for The Sam Willows; been one of three Singaporean acts to play at St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival; and launched her debut album, Season 2. Having traded her folksy-indie sound for a dulcet R&B flavour, her newest tracks feature an electronic vibe—what with the EP created in collaboration with homegrown producer and beat maker, Grosse—while her lyrics tell coming-of-age stories of break-ups and heartache, not unlike Taylor Swift’s, but with a darker sense of sensuality.
