Who is Juliette and do you relate to her?

I play Juliette, a daughter trying to carry on the legacy of her family’s vineyard after her father’s death. In reality, I too, feel this responsibility to carry on my family’s name in the industry I’m in, as they are actors too. How would you describe the French film industry today?

We have this new wave of directors who are incredibly talented, and their influences are as wide and diverse as the films they produce. It’s beautiful to see this generation of movies meld with the classic French ones that play a key role in our history. What would you say is most French about you?

She’s very Parisian. She’s very elegant, very French, always with a big hat and coat, and loves Sonia and coat, and loves Sonia and coat, and loves Sonia Rykiel. But more importantly, it is a strong sense of never excusing ourselves for being who we want to be. It is this freedom that I’ve been instilled with and admire older French women for.

If you weren’t an actress, what would you be?

A designer. I love fashion. It’s the first thing I do when I work on a character—go into wardrobe and discuss who this girl is, what’s in her closet, and what is needed to complete her look. I’ve also been working with Chanel, they were the first ones who dressed me when I went to Cannes. They’ve been very supportive since and I just got news we’ll be working together on a short film together with other upcoming actresses.

What are your style essentials?

Denim jeans, a white t-shirt, boots, and a little necklace.

What’s your favourite wine?

Burgundy. They have something magical.

House Warming

Carpets and storage units are often overlooked as centrepieces that can not only anchor a room but also set the tone. Scandinavian in its streamlined design but rustic in its finishing, Nord Living’s Studio collection at Prestige Aairs features compartmentalised consoles and shelves in a distressed mocha grey Acacia wood, giving graphic linear pieces a pleasantly warmer appeal, so as not to take away from your prized possessions on display. Slide in a plush rug or two underneath for added texture, richness and softness, like a pastel patterned hand-tufted New Zealand wool blend version, which promises to become the focal point of your home.
