Remember how women in the ’60s and then early ’90s would complement the shade of their shoes with that of their bag?

My Reading Room

Well, this is kind of like that, but done with lipstick and blusher. The combos range from classic red-on-red at Chanel (above) to peach-on-peach at Rodarte to sweet pink-on-pink at Vera Wang. The effect: editorial-worthy pulled together, but still wearable – just keep the intensity of the hue lighter on the cheeks, and don’t go heavy on the eye makeup. – MSY.
