We all love GIPHY, but sometimes, no matter what search term you use, it doesn’t have the exact emotion you need. Luckily, we’re Tip: here to help you create your own GIFs to use on socials like LINE.
First things first, assemble your digital army – aka some software applications:
Now the fun starts…
1 TRIM MARGINS
-Drag and drop all of your images into a new Photoshop project.
-Trim the margins equally for all of them.
-Create PNG files for each layer.
2 ARRANGE FRAME ORDER
-Select your favourite frame and set it as a still image.
-Arrange the frame order so your selected still image is “01.png”.
-Rename all the other frame files in the sequence you want.
3 ADJUST FILE SIZES
-Compress the size of your PNG files.
4 CREATE AN APNG FILE
-Create a new APNG file.
-Select all frames to be included in your sticker and drag and drop them into your APNG creation tool.
-The animation should loop no more than four times, and be no longer than four seconds.
-Once done, save the file as an APNG file.
Did we lose you at APNG? The good news is, it’s even easier to make GIFs if you’re a LINE user – just make sure you have the latest version of LINE, then…
1 Open the in-app camera and ensure the GIF button is selected.
2 Tap and hold the button below to take a photo.
3 Once done, you have the option to adjust the speed or have it play in reverse, slow motion, a square format, and so on.
