The tools

First things first, assemble your digital army – aka some software applications:

Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe
Bridge
Adobe Bridge
Pngyu
Pngyu
APNG
Assembler
APNG Assembler

Now the fun starts…

1 TRIM MARGINS 

Adobe Photoshop

-Drag and drop all of your images into a new Photoshop project.
-Trim the margins equally for all of them.
-Create PNG files for each layer.
2 ARRANGE FRAME ORDER 
Adobe Bridge
-Select your favourite frame and set it as a still image.
-Arrange the frame order so your selected still image is “01.png”.
-Rename all the other frame files in the sequence you want.
3 ADJUST FILE SIZES 
Pngyu
-Compress the size of your PNG files.
4 CREATE AN APNG FILE 
APNG Assembler
-Create a new APNG file.
-Select all frames to be included in your sticker and drag and drop them into your APNG creation tool.
-The animation should loop no more than four times, and be no longer than four seconds.
-Once done, save the file as an APNG file.

Did we lose you at APNG? The good news is, it’s even easier to make GIFs if you’re a LINE user – just make sure you have the latest version of LINE, then…

1 Open the in-app camera and ensure the GIF button is selected.

2 Tap and hold the button below to take a photo.

3 Once done, you have the option to adjust the speed or have it play in reverse, slow motion, a square format, and so on.
