Raise your hands if you’ve got a love-hate relationship with your fringe. With so many styles to pick from, it’s hard to tell which is perfect for your face shape. Need help? Look to these Korean stars for some fringe inspiration.

PART OF MY WORLD

Don’t be afraid to sport a centre-parted fringe – you won’t look like a ’90s Canto-pop star if you do it right. A loosely parted one as seen on Shin Min Ah softens what would be a severe, sleek look, and adds an air of effortlessness.

How to get it:

To achieve slightly curled bangs like Han Hyo Joo, hair rollers are your best bet. Simply part your towel-dried hair in the middle, curl each hair section around a heated hair roller and let it set for a few minutes.

SEE THROUGH YOU

Think of this as the peek-a-boo version of the full and thick fringes of the early noughties. The wispy bangs take years off your face and leave a youthful, almost cheeky vibe.

How to get it: We’d recommend a hairdresser, but if you’re daring enough to take your bangs to the next level yourself, then follow these steps:

1 Section your fringe as shown in the picture on the right.

2 Position your thumb between your fringe and your face and slightly below your eyes. Trim along the tips of your thumbs.

3  The end result should produce slightly longer ends along the sides.

4 Vertically trim the front of your fringe to create the see-through result.
